im fully aware that the chances of walking away from an accident at a high mile an hour in any car are slim BUT i was just curious if anybody had info on how the cobra compares to the vette in a crash test at normal speeds. i figured since the cobra had more interior room and sat higher it would be the safer choice but some are saying the vettes did very well in the tests? whats your opinion?

They are both pretty good, I wouldn't use this as a basis for choosing between the cars.

In both cars, the cockpiit is about the only thing that will survive...

Id think the cobra would be better due to its larger cockpit but vette would slide a lot better LOL. Aerodynamics! haha

Not sure of which would fare better if they crashed head on into each other, but I have often dreamed that had I been driving a Vette the night the plane hit me head on, that the wing would have gone right over the Vette rather than slamming into the front of my truck.(IMG:http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/2954000-2954999/2954318_28.jpg)

Not a true Cobra...........but still interesting to look at..... (IMG:http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa240/moparrbust/DSC05101.jpg) Whoah... the bumper ended up in the front seat... must have been a hell of a wreck. I am sure it will buff out. Personally I'd take the vette if I had to choose a car to wreck. The few that I have seen totalled the passenger compartment looked pretty sound. -------------------- ![]() |
