Full Version: Wondering if your car is DM material...
Desert Muscle > What you need to know about DM > F.A.Q.

All cars below are ALL V8 (or larger) TRIM LEVELS only unless otherwise noted. All cars below are the PERFORMANCE BASED version of their counterparts if applicable. A Mustang is not performance based, nor is a Trailblazer - but the GT/Cobra and TBSS sure the hell are.

A car with an engine swap must have been available from the factory with a larger engine. Example: A focus was never offered with a V8 - so a 351W Focus would not make the cut. A fox body WAS offered with a V8 so a LX fox body with 03 Cobra drivetrain WOULD make the list. Even though the fox was not offered with the modular, it was offered with a V8 from the manufacturer.

These are some examples of what is a Muscle car... both classic and modern... If you own one of these (or you own something else that you think I missed) bring it to our next meeting.

I debated it also, and it fits every category except for the V8 - although it uses modern technology of a turbo to make up for it, so I put it on the list.
