I highly reccomend you install the Trapster application onto your phone. They have support for iphone, blackberry, nokia and more.
http://www.trapster.com/index.phpReports you of known speed traps, but also live current speed traps. This data comes from users only, it is not farmed from anywhere so it is always up to date.
I have been using this for a few days now and love it, there are quite a few people updating in Vegas but the more there are, the better the network will be.
Many police officers are supporting this because one way or another people are slowing down (at the right times, lol). It's free to download and use.

Feel free to pass the word along, the more people that use this, the more we all benefit.
I've allready marked the common hiding areas that I see often, and sent out an alert for a live trap this AM.

That's where it comes in the most useful.
I think all of us know the general hiding places around our homes and work, but it will benefit the people that aren't regulars in those areas and hopefully they are doing the same updating their areas for us.

Sounds great but, since most police officers carry I phones and blackberry's, I hope they don't catch on and make false reports such as CLEAR SAILING FROM SPAGETTI BOWL TO RAINBOW CURVE, while they're sitting at the Decatur ramp just waiting to nail you.

Impossible to do with this service.
Uniformed offiecers also aren't allowed to be on the phone 99% of the time.

Why couldn't a cop subscribe to the service? and they can use their phones for work related calls although the force really doesn't check.

They can subscribe, but they can't report that its "all clear".
If I report that there is an officer hiding somewhere, there is no way any other user can change that and say its "all clear". People can vote on it and give it a true/false rating but it can't be removed by them.
