so i have a chrysler 318 with solid lifters and it has a horrid tapping sound above 1100 rpm... and i was wondering if it is possible to replace the solid lifters with hydraulic lifters to stop the horrid sound?

We already fixed it ALLLLLLLL the old lifters were frozen, i had a set of lifters i got at the swap meet for like 2 bucks the only difference is these have the hole for oil coming up through the push rod, and the old ones didn't, but it runs MUCH quieter now....but still has a slight miss but i think that's from a slightly bad valve from one intake lifter being stuck fully open..

Its not a performance car and NEVER sees redline so we are good. Its in a 32 ford ill post pics when i get some on this computer
