What up guys,
Some of you that known me for a long time (I mean real long time) probably remember my ol' Volvo days, and probably this car as well when I had it when it was stock. Well, I sold this car to my buddy about 5 or 6 months ago or so and he had alittle bit of money to spend (and I mean little) so I made it my lunch break project over a course of a week at the shop.
Well, I finished it about a few weeks ago, and man is this thing funny. Under $1500 including the car gets you a real budget race car! My friend has been beating the out of it out on the streets for the last few weeks and yesterday we decided to run it at the track out of curiosity of what the car really runs.

We were only able to get one pass out of it because his 110,000 mile old radiator decided to leak at the track. DOH!

Anyways, it was 108 Degrees last night with a D.A. of 5000ft or so, but the Volvo performed pretty decently for it being so hot.

It's the basic mods for a B230FT plus T3/T4, FMU etc. and I converted over to E85 (Goin' green!)

It ended up going 13.282@100.52 with a 1.953 60'. We could've launched it harder and we would've if we knew that the first pass was our last pass of the night!

And here's a Vid from a friend's Iphone showin' the Volvo out somewhere racing against another one of my customer's Mustang ('05 Whipple 3V S197GT, 440RWHP). The Mustang edged out by a car length at the end from what I heard! Not bad for <$1500.

$1500 car goes 13.2 WOW, I don't see much mustang , gto running that time. As always your job kicks ass, it's not about how much you can spend but how well you can build and tune. Great job Frank.

Yeah most all mustang at track running 14+ sec , Only few dip into 13 high . My camed ,tune, intake , exhaust gt with mt et dr went only 13.4 @ 104 mph with 297rwhp . It's just shows with right setup and good driving clunker can be real sleeper race car. I would have hate to get my ass handed by that car at the track

I'm sure Art gto can dust that valvo but he don't have clutch and I have heard he is not good at the track?
One time I got dusted by one 300z at the track , it said dented Z and I was like piece of shit I will blow the door off your car but he woop me bad and blow by me like I was just there sitting . I think it went mid 11 and I was doing 13 high

Nah I'm really not that good at the track, or racing/driving in general

I'm sure my slipping clutch will hurt me, but its worth a shot.

I just need to get my tune redone to fix a few things then I'll be down.

For what its worth, NRP didn't build/spec/design my car.

I have been fighting with my exhaust leak for few months , leaks here and there making my a/f go crazy. Finally last thursday I redid all my hot side of my turbo kit but was still leaking so I patch it again with copper gasket and now it's seems to work real good. For the first time I can hear loud turbo spool and I love it. Turbo Spool FTMFW.

After racing for more then 4 year it looks like my rearend DIFF is going out as I am getting clunk clunk Some how my fuel pump is not supporting my car that well even I change it from svt focus pump to single ford gt supercar pump. I am just sick of fuel problem so I am going to soon install Franks 03 Cobra tank and intank tiwn pump. It should be good for long time and in future if I need more fuel I will just put 2 gt supercar pump in it.

Track is hit or miss for me as some time I kick ass and most time I suck donkey balls

This turbo kit is not the problem but my upr -kmember is as it's not design for it so pipes don't align that well. It's not cracked or anything just vband leaking .
