What is the recommended tuning software for an 87 fox? Its currently speed density and i plan on keeping it that way. I was looking at the SCT and it seems worth it, with being able to select 4 programs on the fly. I was also looking at the PMS and the AEM EMS but those both are out of my price/budget range lol. the plan/goal for this fox is to run at the most, a 60mm or 70mm turbo and put out around 450ish hp to the ground.

Thanks for any advise fellas.

You are going to go through all of that work and only put down 450rwhp?

If I went turbo, Id expect no less than 700rwhp on pump gas.

1) Don't even consider a PMS.
2) The AEM stand alone stuff is great for 1000+ rwhp cars.
3) SCT PRP gives you control over hundreds of tables, functions, and scalars for your EEC4 Fox, I would certainly consider it.
4) If you have some time to research, and you're one a budget, start here:

Download the binary editor, spend the money on a Jaybird and chip........or better yet, do some real time tuning with the Quarter Horse. These tools and a wideband AFR system will be all that you'd ever need.

for a stock 302 block yes. Id like to leave myself room to grow later with mainly only having to build the block and grab larger injectors instead of also having to build a larger turbo kit at the same time. 700rwhp is bad ass none the less, but hard to play with on the street during those rare occasions lol.

SCT PRP eh? Ill have to research on that system since ive never tuned my own cars before. Always liked SCT anyway and its what i use on the SRT-4.

ill look into the binary editor as well. I figured you would chime in on this thread and wanted to chat with you about some tuning and options anyway haha.

oh, and id like to look into your wideband system with the warning light as well.

Edit: Looking into the Jaybird and the quarter horse as well. pretty cool setups. looks like i have a lot of reading and research to do. laugh.gif thanks guys!

When I had my 5.0 Tweecer R/T was the hot shit, not sure if it still is.

they still have it out, i havent looked into it too much though. looks to be along the lines of QH and Jaybird though. ill look more into that one as well.

also, all in all, none of these options would force me to swap over from speed density to a MAF right?
