What's all, as most of you guys know my motor blew august 28th at the track . After 3 months of being down it up and running from yesterday. Frank Yee at Voodoo Racing Innovation is building my motor and if eveything goes smooth we will have it tune and ready to go today. Let's play guess hp game and my specs are

MMR 950 Stroker Internals in Windsor Block
Stock heads with Voodoo Racing Innovation custom grind cams( Magic Sticks)
60lb injector and 03 cobra tank with twin Ford GT Supercar pumps

Should make some # but only problem I see is my T70 got .68 exhaust housing sad.gif

Thanks all
Suresh

Thanks but that's too much power for my taste smile.gif remember it's still my DD smile.gif 850rwhp is more like your territory with 4V and TURBO FTW.

Hehe, I know. My fuel system and turbo won't allowed me to make that kind of power sad.gif but what ever it makes will sure to hurt some feelings wink.gif

Maybe in future after I get bored with big burnout then I may have to upgrade heads, fuel system and go for big big burnout wink.gif

I'm going to say mid 500's.

We had a few issues coming from the clutch/transmission that needs to be resolved, but I got a few pulls in indeed, the tune isn't even close to being final but it did pretty well considering I only have two hits on the dyno with it. I'm well impressed considering it did what it did so far for a stock headed GT. I'll keep y'all in suspense and let Suresh post up what it made. wink.gif
1sickturbo2v
Good new is BIG PAWA MOFO and some bad new is clutch problem that need to looked at before next dyno tune. At only 5500rpm 630rwhp and 657 torque, Uw Whee . And did I forgot to tell you guys that my motor can rev to 7k . 2V BIG BURNOUT Like geoff like to say wink.gif

Big thanks to Frank

Bring it don't sing it little man. rolleyes.gif Bring that Cobra out or is your penis too small? tongue.gif

P.S.

Suresh nice numbers, should be a fun car.
2L8ULUZ
Update! It wasn't the clutch/driveline. Quick synopsis about what happened yesterday. We were doing the second pull on the dyno when I heard a pop from what sounded like the clutch assembly and a vibration that felt like it was coming from the trans so I immediately aborted the run and shut the car off. When I got the car back to the shop, Elton and I burnt the midnight oil to attempt to get the car ready for M and M figuring that it was the clutch assembly that has failed (happens alot to Spec clutches). So after an hour or so wrestling the transmission we saw (to our amazement) that the clutch assembly was fine! We both had a pretty confused look on our faces. So, we took the next hour or so putting everything back together and spent the rest of the morning troubleshooting where the mysterious noise could have came from...it turns out...it didn't come from the clutch or driveline area at all but instead it came from the back of the intake manifold which has cracked from the boost pressure. I guess I should have diagnosed the issue as a whole and looked there in the first place, but I was so pessimistic about Spec products that I jumped to conclusions and wasted a few hours of our lives. LOL! Oh well, live and learn.
I guess the factory Ford plastic intake manifolds are super thin walled and doesn't last behind extreme (boost) pressures for very long! Anyone have an intake that they can loan to Suresh for the weekend?? biggrin.gif
1sickturbo2v
Thanks Frank, as always he has gone extra miles . Any one have stock PI lower Plastic manifold

I am really impressed with those numbers, given the pessimism regarding the A/R ratios and stuff, I guessed mid 500's because it sounded like you thought it would be choked up.

Nice numbers.

Thanks, So far it's not choking or not bad enough to notice. My thinking is that his custom specs cams have to do with not choking , turbo cams FTW

Lets find you an intake then! How hard can it be to find a Ford intake? Can't you just call the junkyard and get one off an F-150 or something?

I am sure we have at least one member here who has one in their garage they can at least lend you.

Call me if you need help installing.
ArthurJGuy
It has to be a 99-04 (Perhaps 01-04) Mustang Intake.

F150 has different runners, the cars (Crown Vic) I believe the throttle body faces the other way.

If it blew once, it will blow again. Suresh has the right parts in mind, sucks that it will take time to save and get them but its worth doing it properly.
SRTullio
If the mechanics on this site are as good as they say they are, you can have my LS3 intake laugh.gif
1sickturbo2v
Thanks all for you support, I did find out that day on craigslits and bought it for 60bucks then got it install thanks fo Frank and Elton then we went to the track.
I think I will get intake but have to wait few months sad.gif . Was fun and scary even at only low boost , not yet ready to drive 20+ psi as it's a monster.
1sickturbo2v
Yesterday after my lower intake blew Frank got it final tune. It's on 91 oct tune at low boost so I can learn how to drive high hp cars before I go crank up the boost 20+ psi. It's not 100% as I need BAP ASAP cause my car accelerate so fast that the damn fuel trying to back out plus my stock tiny fuel lines and rails are not getting the job done at high psi. I will be also need aluminum intake , don't know which one to get as of yet and asap some money get saved and get used to new found PAWA wink.gif then will do some intake and fuel upgrade .

I will let Frank tell you about the numbers at low boost , but let me tell you even in low boost it's a beast none the less. He was having lot's of fun driving around and texting me how nice my car running where I was at work till 9pm and then aftet that went home took care of my little girls and wife. I wanted to go drive so fvcking bad but had to stay home and let my wife take some rest as it's not easy to take care of 2 year old and 1 month old at the same time. Wow how life change and priority but was very happy that he was having fun as he built it so I said let him have fun with it, and when he is having blast driving and tell me then I know my sexy black bish is moving wink.gif

Thank to Frank for all the hard work and unintentional stress I have put him thru, hope some day I will return this favors before I die smile.gif

I have to work at 9:15am and I woke up this morning 3am wide open eyes , could not sleep thinking of my car and how much I miss it. I need coffee
2L8ULUZ
I finally got Suresh'es car dialed in nicely. We have to keep the boost down because of his plastic intake but even at 12psi, I've got it to go up from the 515rwhp that we originally started with to almost 560rwhp and this is all on 91 pump! This is all on a 100% stock 2V head!

geoffw
Nice #s, it makes almost as much power as my old Silver car on 91 with wayyy less boost...Turbo FTW!
1sickturbo2v
Got my car last night, god damn it's handful. Good job Frank Yee, I am out of words overwhelm with joy and happiness.
After 4 months of not driving got toll on me, coundn't drive for shit. Did some roll racing from 40 with SSSnikey and wow got my ass handed as I cannot seems to shift 3rd gear smile.gif and one time I tried brake boost BAMN that beast is stupid fast but my crappy stock gt brake got hot and was out of brakes.

His car is fast as hell for na , it will be fun after I learn how to drive all over again. My .68 exhaust housing is the worse part right now as 5800 and falls flat, soon going to order .96 exhaust housing and BAP .

Was fun driving my car, steering is fucked up crooked and need aligment bad. Plus my stupid crappy autolite alternator died rite when it got home smile.gif , life time warranty at checkerauto FTW .
Z0QUIK
Thanks for the compliments! Get an alignment and clean up the small stuff we all talked about last night and I'm sure ill be chasing... I gotta say this car spools up pretty quick! I got a ride and its pretty violent... watch out for this car even on low boost it runs hard! Once again good job frank... ANOTHER well built vri car... can't wait to see the new setup! ;-)
1sickturbo2v
Huston we have problems smile.gif , went to see how much it's leaking and wow found few bad once. Few big leaks on up pipe and one bad leak on down pipe. I know my turbo kit pretty well so I know few tricks now so it won't leak biggrin.gif
and also found out that my boost controller hose have came off so it must be running 8-9 psi or little more off a wastegate springs. I am not making excuses about the loss last night , he smoked me plan and simple biggrin.gif , if with leaks and no boost controller car driving that good then I will have to learn how to drive again after all this little shit done lol

None the less Ssneaky your car is bullet for na car bro, congrats on a killer ride.

1sickturbo2v
Problem is my budget turbo kit suck and leaks but I took is out and reinstall few times so I know the tricks. Problem with my master power turbo flang is wider then my kit, look at this picture

vband looks like this -v- so when I will grand vband to v- then it fits and no leaks.
uwee2jz
Just to let everyone know when I received suresh's car every exhaust pipe possible was rtv'ed together. Since he was on a limited budget we put it back to the way he had it. Me and Frank had nothing to do with how the turbo kit was designed and the way the v bands fit together. Our job was accomplish by building an outstanding motor on a limited budget and install it. We of course did just that and made extremely good power with stock 2v heads tongue.gif . So please do not throw me under the bus and make it seem like the rtv was my idea because it is not.
anyway congrads on the power and good luck on track!

Yep my exhaust was copper rtv like shit before and it will be after , that's what happen when I use k-member not suggested for this kit. Oh well it still make the power and that what I care. Thanks Elton

Because of this turbo kit copper gasket price went up and inventor of copper gasket got gold medal for keeping my kit leak free , J/k lol
1sickturbo2v
Just a update on my new parts. .68 housing chocking it bad so I bought .96 exhaust housing . Bought upr k-member 3/8" spacer to lower my k-member so all my pipes align, bought 40amps kb boost a pump and they all should be here on jan 12th.

Today I just order Edelbrock victor Jr intake and rails from jegs , they have a nice price on them. It also should be here by monday jan 12th.
1sickturbo2v
Got all my stuff today, k-member spacer, 9" long filter, Edelbrock victor Jr intake and Rails, .96 master power exhaust housing and kb bap 40amps. Time to turn the boost up wink.gif

ArthurJGuy
Do you have any info on the K member spacer or where you got it?

That is awesome.

I tried everywhere to get someone to make those back when I was doing my 5.4 into my Mustnag swap, I wanted to fit the stock hood with a pretty sweet intake setup. No one would make em.

1sickturbo2v
This should give me enough clearance so my pipes align without leak or copper gasket wink.gif

1sickturbo2v
Finally my car is up and running. Had some electrical problem with not charging . Still learning how to drive my car as 630 torque in street tire is no easy task. I still have few more things to take care of like installing edelbrock intake and boost a pump but for now I am having fun with low boost setting . Frank did a awesome job on the motor and tune, runs better then stock until my turbo start to sing wink.gif
Hope to be at the MM on 12th.
