interesting... but how do you power the second shaft? Sounds like it would have to have an electic motor to power it... but imagine the electric motor failing. That would mean power forward, with no neutral. lol
Id really like to see the model with load.

Thats a kool concept, but it just kinda doesnt make sense to have to use more power to make it go slower. how often are vehicals going to be in top gear. i want to see what would happen if he put a load on the output. i almost bet it would try and drive the bottom shaft even faster, which would go into reverse. Im tired, ill watch it agian when i can think...Tim has a new idea for a senior design project at UNLV!

This was a plastic model for proof of concept but they are supposed to make a working model very soon and see what kind of power it can hold.
The flaw here is powering the second shaft without some kind of clutch system.
