Been working on this mustang for a while now, so I thought I would post pics of my progress.

Painted and honed the block today. Decided to go with an "old school look" and painted the block ford blue. I'm also going to paint the timing cover and cam covers ford blue also.

Not going w/ boost. My compression w/ pistons will be around 10.2-10.5:1

I'm actually thinking about bumping up to 150 or 175 since I have the fuel system to support it.

Slowly....I have the crank and bearings reinstalled along w/ caps. This Thursday, I'm hoping to file fit my rings and install pistons. It's hard to find any time w/ a 2 year old and a wife that works on all my days off. sad.gif

That is a very boost friendly CR. I push 10-11 PSI through a 10.8:1 motor with no meth and 91 octane.

If you want to spray I'd have bumped the CR a point or two and start at a 175 shot, and work your way up.

Maybe later down the road. Don't have the money right now, plus I'd have to change out my rear end gears. I don't think 4.10's would be good w/ a blower and a T-45 trans.

I had 4.30s on my procharged cobra with a t45 tongue.gif

IIRC Ross had 4.10's in his 97 Cobra with a procharger also that he sold to Ray.

Finally got the pistons installed. Haven't had much time w/ the baby and the wife pregnant again. Hopefully I'll have the motor completed in the next couple of weeks. A customer of mine gave me an 89 notch today, so looks like I have another project on my hands.

I'm happy to hear you are making progress with your car congrats.
You just have to make time to work on your car.

Easier said than done...as soon as you have a schedule that consists of long work weeks, taking care of a 2 year old because your wife works on your days off, fitting in everything else that consists of a wife that's 5 months pregnant...then come talk to me about making time to work on your car.

Motor is in!! It's running extremely rich, but its getting tuned tonight.

We may never know because after Rockey put his mustang together and tuned it
he said he was moving to Idiho and never seen him again.
