I take it you bought the private party 2WD SS?

I was looking into the AWD SS as an alternative to the Jeep SRT-8, but they seem to be a lot harder to find, and most of the new ones are optioned out to the point where the price tag is too close to the Jeep to be worth the purchase.

hope to have pics soon...since i've had family in town i didn't want to be rude by cleaning my truck with them there. haha

and yes, i don't want the wife to drive it either...that's why i haven't told her about the adjustable pedals!!! HAHAHA

yes, it's the 2wd private party one. i still can't believe what i paid for it and that's why i have that feeling like something is wrong with it. this one blue books around 26-28, he didn't realize he owed 25.3 and let me have it for 23.3!!

the two sayings keep popping in my head:

yea AWD are harder to find. i found more AWD private party back east and to be honest AWD doesn't tow as much, gets worse MPG, and that jazz.

What color ?

The main reason I'm interested in a TB SS or Jeep SRT-8 is because of AWD for straight line acceleration. In general I'm getting tired of all the RWD V8 traction issues I've had over the past 5 years. I can't think of anything else that has good horsepower, AWD, under $40k price tag, and isn't a 4-cyl. I'm just not a big fan of the whole STi/Evo package, especially when they sticker out as high as my Charger SRT-8 did.

i wasn't looking at JGC srt8s but i couldn't find any.

im sure if you look and look eventually you can find an AWD for what you want to pay. i spent about 2 months looking and then mine found me!!

I love the car to death. On the other hand, I love the Jeep SRT-8 even more, because of its AWD setup. I'd love to be able to peel off high 11's/low 12's in street trim - it's a lot harder to accomplish that with the Charger because of overall traction issues. If it's possible to pull it off without great expense I'd rather hop over into the Jeep than investing a bunch of dough in the Charger and irritate the warranty in the process.

I'm in no massive hurry to get rid of the Charger - just keeping my eyes peeled in case a good situation turns up.

i didn't want AWD though for the reasons i mentioned. from what i heard there's an LEP, AWD TBSS running 11's around town...a black one.

since i've had my TB i've seen two JGC srt8s. one at the dmv and the other going the other way on the freeway. i would love to see how mine does against one.
