So, my car lacks a few important gauges and I need to add a few others.
Stock, there are no Oil Pressure or Voltage gauges...
Here's the thing, aftermarket there are only 2 gauge pods...
I'm trying to choose between..
Boost
Fuel Pressure
Oil Pressure
Air Fuel
All very vital, but I have to choose 2 out of that 4...
Sooo any comments on which 2 to use? I dont want to clutter the car with gauges everywhere so multiple pods is really not an option...

Get one of those controllers like they use for diesel, and have them all interchangable.

No good mounting solution and they look out of place, and can't monitor them all with once. Even the aerofoce interceptors look out of place and require too many addins to make work.

Boost & Air/Fuel. Don't go cheap with the A/F gauge either - get a quality wideband, anything else is just an overpriced light show.
You could hook up a mechanical fuel pressure gauge in the engine bay - once you've got that dialed in you shouldn't have to play with it very often.

On the w/b im getting an Innovate LM1 if thats what I choose.
I can see valid points for all the options above.
Fuel Pressure should stay dialed in, but if a fuel pump fails or problem with the line etc - no way to know... goodbye motor.
A/F should be set from the tuner (im not doing the tune) so I shouldnt have to worry about it. But injector fails, runs lean, goodbye motor.
Oil Pressure should always be sufficient and not changing, but pan gets sucked dry or pump failure, good by motor AND turbos...
Boost should be set by the boost controller and not change, but should a wastegate fail or stick open, over boost, good by motor..
I see a pattern here... Im kinda stuck...

Get the guage pod, then have a panel fabricated for the lower cubby hole below the ashtray, for two more!

Sirius goes there

Someone makes a tripple pillar pod but it looks out of place from what I have seen, and its hard to find good pics on LS2GTO of any of them...

I say pick the two you actually want to know where they are in teh range, and then put in warning lights for the other two.
The lights could be hidden somewhere discreet, like in a vent, if you see a redlight, shut down immediately.
Then if you are real concerned, you could get a data logger that is mounted remotely to see what's going on.
I'm thinking Boost and AFR, with warning lights for Fuel a oil pressure.
Another gauge that might be good, is an IAT temperature gauge.
I'm thinking I would do IAT temps and Boost, then use warning lights for the other three.

Also, I think that IAT is typically what causes the computer to start pulling timing (atleast on fords), so a timing retard/advance gauge (if anyone makes somethign like that) would be cool too.
I still think IAT and Boost, with lights for the other three.

I wish the damn Aeroforce Interceptors didnt require 5 million fvcking plugins because then I could monitor 4 things at once...

Dude... WTF are you talking about? I have an aeroforce gauge and the only "plugin" I have is connecting it to the ALDL connector. I had the same problem as you. I needed more gauges than I had room for. I can have 2 params monitored at once and I can have it scan through 8. You can take a look at it in my car if you want. No need to H8 that which you do not understand.
The only things it doesn't have are boost and WideBand (because there are no factory sensors for those) but you could use inputs from a 0-5v sending unit and put them into the Interceptors to monitor those also if you wanted to. Thats not "5 million fvcking plugins"... Its 2 fvcking plugins.

SCSS told me out of those 4 the only 1 it would monitor without a plugin was oil pressure, needs plugins for the fuel press, boost, and w/b...

Well that is true. Once again, there is no factory sensor for fuel pressure. You can have 2 analog inputs into each gauge. I preferred it because I can monitor a lot more with it. Like knock retard (with an alert) timing advance, oil temp, etc. STFT/LTFT. Also i chose it because it also has scan/playback functionality so I don't have to carry my laptop in the car anymore.

I'll have to look at yours later, fuckers are expencive though even before all the extra needed crap
I do like that they fit in the JHP pod though and not just the SCSS gator pod..

They will fit in any pod that uses 2 1/16 holes (most do)

If you set the gauge on showing say, oil pressure and IAT - does it go back to that by default every time you start the car or do you have to cycle through the menu each time ?
I'm still on the fence about those, there is limited coverage on using them with boost on LS2GTO and some of the people that have commented say it jumps around so much its almost impossible to read, many have mentioned inaccuracies, so we'll see. I fired a msg off to SCSS and Aeroforce.

Since their display is a digital numerical readout they would suck as a boost gauge. Since boost is constantly and rapidly changing an analog gauge is better suited to that application.

I think I have decided on the SCSS Gator Pod with twin Aeroforce Gauges..
Waiting on an email back about the sensors needed though.
Maryland Speed has a special, both gauges and the pod for $580 shipped, then I have to add $150 in sensors to get it all to work. It's not cheap but I wanted stealthish (vs having a boost gauge hanging on the pillar) and to be able to playback so these should work.
Mounts in the center of the dash above the HVAC controls.
