Dyno Dan had told me about this. Some 03/04 Cobras have the infamos hesitation between gears. The PPRV Positvie Pressure Reducing Valve is set to dump fuel press at 64 psi, well between gears the pprv usualy begins to dump, then your back on the gas and (sometimes it rears it's head) causing a split second lean condition..Not good for the pullied cars..Here is the fix....

And 4 hours, some blood, and a pissed of wife later I have no more PPRV or hesitation SWEET!!!!!!

So you remove a little white thingy then kink your fuel supply line?

Doesn't seem like a good mod to me. LOL
hypnotic
So it just recirculates, instead of dumping from the little whit plastic valve?
ACESCOBRA
I did it when I upgraded my fuel pumps to Ford GT pumps in the Cobra. Great mod.

What kind of hose did you use?

Looks like if you could have used a slightly softer hose it wouldn't look as "kinked"

Why not just remove the PRV and replace with a fitting? Why go to the effort to replace all of the hose?

moved to blue oval tech, carry on..

No it is designed to keep pressure in the line when the car is off.So that on start up the injectors have avail press. The problem with check valves is there has to be a point were the pressure is dumped,in our case its64 psi. Between shifts your foot comes off the mat and fuel pump duty drops, pressure goes up as the pulse width closes and the PPRV dumps your pressure. This mod keeps stable pressure regardless of were your foot is...Hence the no hesitation, and no split sec lean condition for the pullied ones..You just have to let the pumps run for 2 sec. before starting....hope this helps..

Well I am glad you caught the point of my post. I am sure the mod is worthwhile, but that hose in the pic sure looked kinked to me.

Is that a twin in-tank pump setup on your Cobra? Is that also the stock configuration?

If so. Thats a pretty nice setup.

Ya twin in tank pumps are stock, but they are turned and stuff for this mod.
My car was one of the bad ones when it comes to the hesitation, so for me it's 10 out of 10....Ford clames I dont shift fast enough hence my hesitation. But look on svtp and youll see alot of it.

432/400 whp. Dan said that considering I don't have the mid pipe like Steve, "it may be a new record", lol, I'm not sure about that, but it definitely scoots.

No pulley for me, I am taking a different route.
