So you are at Hill crewing 16's? That is like a 6 hour drive away from Vegas.

Heck no, not a big fan of 16's, I was an F-15 crew chief for over 7 years, when I came out here they stuck me on the F-22, I work in Depot, so I work all fighter airframes, F-16, A-10, F-117. and just a few of us work the F-22. Yeah it is a few hours away, just one boring ass drive, we have came down a few times for car shows and other small things. We hope to come down again, I want to take my car to the track and see what she can run.

Yeah but it's only like 15 minutes from Vegas in an F-22 at full throttle.

Art, I could be wrong, but I don't think F-22's have afterburners, it's part of the stealth stuff. (wow, I watch way to much history channel)

Yea it does..
It uses Pratt & Whit F119-PW-100s' - and those babys have a mean afterburner..
It's able to go supersonic without them (1.7 mach) but with them has passed 2.0 and is capable of 2.4 (1,600 mph)

Those things are a piece of junk. They are always broke.

It does have afterburner, it has ceramic tiles on the nozzels and sides to reduce the heat so it is undetected. Yes the Craptor is a piece of junk, the fastest I have heard one of going is mach 3, that was when I was stationed at tyndall when we got the first few. Nellis flew one out here for depot and got in trouble when he went into SLC airspace, they yelled at him for going mach 1.5 over salt lake and made him go 40 miles around, he said he could have made it here in 12 minutes at the speed he was going

The car actually has the newer double halo with the projector low beam.
I love the look of the double halo, but that projector doesn't work worth crap. They cut off really badly and don't give out nearl enough light. Oh well, they look sweet anyway.

Hey all,
I just registered with this board but have been in Vegas for about a year now. I'm in the Air Force here in Vegas and am a financial analyst. Not a real exciting job at home but it's a blast when we deploy. Anyway, I have a 2002 Camaro SS with some mods done to it. Just thought I would check in and say hi.

Normally all I hear are Majs and LTCs bitching about their paycheck being short a nickel or complaining because they didn't get full perdiem on their last TDY. When we deploy we actually go outside the wire and carry cash to vendors. We also do fly away missions to pay landing fees and such. Much better than sitting in a office listening to folks complain. LOL

Hey guys. Man, stop drinking the Haterade on the F22. I've put fuel on 'em and talked to the maintenance guys...they are having their issues with them, but this is our top of the line air superiority fighter (and the world's for that matter), so let's press on and go with it. I'm stationed at Nellis.

It's just a maintenance nightmare like the F-4's and the F-15's are.
